Regional Medical Scientific Director, Cardiopulmonary & Pulmonary Hypertension -- Mid-Atlantic Territory

Merck seeks a credentialed medical scientific director with pulmonary hypertension expertise to build peer relationships with external scientists and clinicians in the Mid-Atlantic region. The role combines scientific exchange, research support coordination, and strategy input to advance the company's cardiovascular and pulmonary programs.
Responsibilities
- Identify and establish collaborative relationships with regional scientific leaders and clinical investigators
- Conduct peer-level scientific discussions and maintain regular engagement with external stakeholders
- Represent Research & Development Division at scientific meetings and congresses
- Support data generation activities and serve as liaison for investigator-sponsored studies
- Communicate external insights and clinical trends to internal Medical Affairs teams
Requirements
- MD, PhD, PharmD, or APP credential
- Three years biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare experience
- Three years clinical and/or research experience in cardiovascular and pulmonary therapeutic areas
- Demonstrated scientific excellence in assigned therapeutic area
- In-depth disease and therapeutic area knowledge
- Residence in Virginia, Maryland, or Washington D.C.
