Head Coach:
Responsible for all coaching of practices and competitions at Special Olympic Softball events.
- Provides coaching, supervision, and safety oversight at all practices, games, and regional/state competitions.
- Ensures all medical forms are on hand at all events.
- Prepares line-up and field positions for all games.
- May be responsible for transporting athletes in a van, or riding bus to provide supervision of athletes to and from events.
- Plans for state competitions and may attend meetings as requested by the Special Olympic Coordinator.
- Communicate all needs, issues, and conflicts to the SO Coordinator in a timely manner. Any MUI/UI incidents should also be included.
- Manages/maintains team equipment.
- Maintains current background check and trainings as required by Special Olympics Ohio.
Asst. Coach:
Responsible for assisting the Head Coach with coaching practices and competitions at Special Olympic Softball events, as well as the following tasks:

Knowledgeable of softball rules, valid Ohio driver's license and excellent driving record, prior softball coaching experience preferred; experience with DD population a plus.
