Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating assigned patients and developing, implementing, and modifying treatment plans based on the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. The therapist will oversee the delegation and direction of all therapy services for the assigned patients, ensuring effective return to community activities through functional treatment programs. This role includes educating patients, families, students, and coworkers while adhering to professional standards and codes of conduct.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans focused on progressing towards discharge within established lengths of stay.
• Document care in compliance with state, federal, and clinic-specific policies.
• Provide leadership in patient safety and ensure adherence to safety policies.
• Participate in student programs and support their educational development.
• Maintain professional licensure and adhere to the continuing education requirements.
• Engage in professional development and apply learned skills to meet organizational objectives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• 1+ years of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active and applicable state license for practice.
