Maintenance Supervisor

MalaceHR is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day maintenance operations for a multifamily residential community. This role is responsible for leading the maintenance team, ensuring property appearance and functionality, coordinating repairs, managing vendors, and maintaining a safe, high-quality living environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule maintenance staff and daily operations
• Oversee work orders, preventative maintenance, and unit turns
• Perform and coordinate HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliance, and general maintenance repairs
• Ensure vacant units are move-in ready within company timelines
• Manage inventory, supplies, and maintenance expenses
• Coordinate vendors, contractors, and capital improvement projects
• Maintain property curb appeal, grounds, and common areas
• Respond to emergency and after-hours maintenance calls as needed
• Train, coach, and develop maintenance team members
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, Fair Housing, and local building regulations

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; additional certifications preferred
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required
• CPO and HVAC certifications preferred
• 3+ years of maintenance leadership experience in multifamily or commercial facilities
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general building systems
• Experience with property management software such as Yardi preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
