Physician Heart and Lung Procurement Surgeon Grand Rapids, MI Opportunity Highlights

• Established Transplant Program: Since its inception in 2010, the Heart and Lung Transplant program has completed 225 heart transplants, 370 lung transplants, and 529 durable LVADs.
• Leading Surgical Program in Michigan: Home to Michigans largest open-heart surgery program, performing over 1,600 open-heart surgeries, 400 TAVRs, and 120 ECMO procedures annually.
• Dedicated Procurement Role: Opportunity to function as a dedicated organ procurement surgeon supporting the Heart and Lung Transplant programs.

Preferred Qualifications
• Board Certified/Eligible: Cardiothoracic Surgeon, American Board of Thoracic Surgery or Equivalent
• Procurement Experience: Experience in heart and lung procurement preferred, though not required
• Cardiothoracic Surgery Training: Required for the role
Requirements
• Unrestricted Michigan medical license
• Bachelor's degree required
• Certifications:
