Senior Field Service Technician (Onsite)

Senior Field Service Technician – Lakewood, CA Responsibilities Install, maintain, test, adjust, and repair a wide range of communication equipment, such as radio and antenna systems. Utilize test equipment as required to perform proper installation or repair. Interact independently and professionally with customers, vendors, and contractors for maintenance and installation activities. Provide on‑the‑job training to Associate Field Service Technicians. Provide 24/7 support; be on‑call after hours, on weekends, and holidays. Travel approximately 75% of the time. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and climb towers and stepped poles up to 50 feet in height. Requirements U.S. citizenship or authorized status to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical education preferred. Minimum of two years of practical electronics experience. Hands‑on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Experience in logical fault isolation techniques. Background in field service, RF communications, industrial maintenance, avionics, military electronics, telecommunications, or a related technical role. Obtain an FCC General Radiotelephone Operator’s License (GROL) within six months of hire. Obtain and maintain SIDA badging, including Security Threat Assessment (STA) and fingerprint‑based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC). Ability to work independently in remote or unsupervised field conditions, including root‑cause analysis under time‑critical situations. Knowledge of reading schematics, drawings, and technical manuals. Preferred Active FCC General Radiotelephone Operator’s License (GROL). Completion of a practical electronics course at a technological school or junior college. Experience troubleshooting RF communication systems in live operational environments (e.g., airports, industrial sites, telecom, military).
