Data Analyst

What we are looking for Tripoint Solutions is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making and performance reporting within a Higher Education environment. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and data science skills, experience designing and developing dashboards, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders. Location: HYBRID; MUST be located in DC, Virginia, or Maryland The successful candidate will be accountable to: Collect, analyze, and interpret complex datasets to support institutional goals and performance metrics. Design, develop, and maintain custom dashboards and reports in Tableau to visualize data and communicate trends. Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements, KPIs, and data sources. Apply data science and statistical principles to identify trends, correlations, and predictive insights. Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple systems and reporting tools. Integrate and analyze data from platforms such as Salesforce or Blackboard to enhance operational and student success reporting. Prepare written reports, data briefs, and visualizations for executive and operational audiences. Support data governance and documentation practices across the organization. What you bring Experience, Education & Training: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field. 5+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data science roles. Demonstrated proficiency in Tableau (dashboard development and customization). Strong experience with data manipulation, SQL, and data visualization techniques. Proven ability to apply data science and analytics principles to business or academic challenges. Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting Higher Education programs or institutions. Familiarity with Salesforce, Blackboard, or similar education data platforms. Working knowledge of Python, R, or similar analytical tools. Experience with federal or state reporting environments is a plus. Clearance Requirements: Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation.
