Registered Nurse (RN), Emergency Department DH, Day Evening

Position Summary Provides professional care and assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame. Provides care to these patients utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with other health care team members. Qualifications State of CT RN license required. Minimum of 6 months of ED RN experience. Desired: Nursing certification, BSN degree. Shift Details Hours: 24 control hours. Shift: 7am-7:30pm, two scheduled shifts a week Sunday to Saturday including every other weekend. Work type: Part‑time. Location: Danbury-24 Hospital Ave, Emergency Department. Responsibilities Performs assessments in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status. Formulates a goal‑directed plan of care which is prioritized and based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes. Implements care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent and continuous manner. Establishes priorities of patient care based on essential patient needs and available resources. Evaluates effectiveness of care given and patient progression toward outcomes. Identifies patient's/significant other's learning needs and implements appropriate measures to meet them. Coordinates interdisciplinary functions. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position. Performs other duties as assigned. Working Conditions Significant manual skills, motor coordination, and finger dexterity required. Occupational risk and very heavy effort; may exert up to 50 lbs of force. Exposure to dirt, odor, noise, human waste, and other hazards. Salary Range $44.73 - $65.48 per hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr
