KIA MASTER TECHNICIAN

Location: Oakes Kia of Olathe | Olathe, KS Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday with rotating Saturdays Compensation: Starting at $35+ per hour, based on experience and certification level

ABOUT THE ROLE

Oakes Kia of Olathe is seeking an experienced Kia Master Certified Technician to join our award-winning service team. This role is ideal for a technician who excels at advanced diagnostics, takes pride in quality workmanship, and enjoys leading by example in the shop. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Perform advanced diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on Kia vehicles using manufacturer-approved tools and procedures
• Diagnose complex electrical, engine, drivability, and transmission issues
• Lead by example and support the development of other technicians
• Ensure all repairs meet or exceed Kia and Oakes Auto Group quality standards
• Accurately document repairs and communicate clearly with Service Advisors and leadership
• Stay current with Kia technology, training, and service updates
• Support shop organization, workflow efficiency, and continuous improvement efforts

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Fully Kia Master Certified, with all required classroom and virtual training completed, and a minimum of three consecutive years of experience working in a Kia dealership. Brings strong diagnostic capabilities across multiple vehicle systems, with a high level of attention to detail and pride in producing quality work. Communicates effectively, works well within a team, and maintains a professional, reliable, and leadership-minded approach on the shop floor.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid driver's license with a clean or acceptable driving record
• Ability to pass a standard background check
• Strong reliability and consistent attendance
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new systems
• Kia Master Certification required
