Overview Registered Nurse – Med Surg is needed for a travel assignment in a surgical center setting located in Tuba City, Arizona. Administer medications, monitor patient responses, perform nursing assessments, and document care in the medical record. Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and the health care team to coordinate patient care and transitions, while ensuring safety and infection control. Perform routine and specialized nursing procedures (vital signs, IV therapy, wound care, pre/postoperative tasks) and assist with procedures as needed. Provide patient and family education, discharge planning support, and referrals to appropriate community resources. Requirements Active RN license to practice in the United States (any state), the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory; must be current, full, and unrestricted. BLS and ACLS certifications; Complete TCAR within six months of hire; NIHSS within six months of hire. Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute or sub-acute facility. Ability to work in a Med/Surg environment within a surgical center; comfortable with 3x12-hour day shifts. Education: graduation from an accredited nursing program and current RN licensure. Orientation: every two weeks to acclimate to facility policies and procedures. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week on a 13-week assignment.
