It involves hands-on mechanical work that ensures dependable operation of a wide range of vehicles and equipment. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will perform the following duties:Engine Repair: Perform major and minor repairs on gasoline and diesel enginesEquipment Service: Repair and maintain equipment such as backhoes, loaders, tractors, mowers, and generatorsVehicle Maintenance: Repair mechanical defects and replace parts including brakes, clutches, and transmissionsDiagnostic Testing: Test engines to identify causes of malfunction or mechanical failureSafety Inspection: Inspect vehicles for proper safety and compliance with regulationsRecord Keeping: Prepare repair records, maintenance reports, and parts requestsInterested in learning more?
