Radiology Tech

We are seeking a Radiology Tech for a diagnostic radiology department. The facility has 874 licensed beds and is recognized as a Level I Trauma and Pediatric Trauma center, as well as a teaching hospital. The department sees an average of 350-400 patients per day and is equipped with multiple x-ray suites. There are specific x-ray rooms in both the main hospital and the emergency department. Trauma cases will be encountered regularly due to the facility's high acuity patient population. The Radiology Tech will be responsible for imaging a variety of areas including the head, neck, spine, extremities, abdomen, and chest. Experience with trauma patients and portables at the bedside is essential. The position will involve working in different areas such as the Emergency Department, Operating Room, and Main radiology area. Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork are strongly preferred. There will be opportunities to precept x-ray students based on the individual's experience. Support will be available from a lead tech and supervisors on a 24/7 basis. The department has a collaborative environment with a team-oriented culture. No weekend rotations between weekdays and travelers will maintain consistent shifts as per the contract. Holidays will be worked as scheduled if they fall on a normal workday. Scrubs will be provided for those assigned to the operating room.
