This team member will be responsible for overall cash management, including cash forecasting, working directly with the Accounts Receivable Manager, and managing the entire accounts payables process and team, working closely with Vendor Operations, with accompanying general ledger accounting responsibilities, maintaining strong internal controls, and serving as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for the Coupa procure-to-pay (P2P) system. A successful candidate will ensure strict compliance with institutional and regulatory standards and will be well organized and comfortable dealing with all aspects of cash. Excellent people skills and the ability to be detailed oriented, while also being able to operate at a high level will be critical.What You'll DoResponsible for cash management:Accurate and timely forecasting, budgeting and monitoring of cash flow, both short-term and long-term, to ensure company has enough liquidity to meet its financial obligations, leveraging partnership with the FP&A teamEnsure timely posting of cash transactionsManaging the company's bank accountsAssistance with bank compliance reportingKey stakeholder in banking relationshipsResponsible for procurement and payable processes:Lead and oversee the end-to-end accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate invoice and payment processing, including review and approval of invoices and vendorsEnsure timely and accurate employee expense and corporate credit card reporting and processingManage AP communications, both internal and externalPartner with Vendor Operations and AP team to ensure proper organization of vendors and contracts and supplier onboarding through CoupaEstablish and maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting policies and procedures as it relates to cash and payablesStreamline and optimize the procure-to-pay process, including identification, design and implementation of necessary process and system changes, to improve efficiency, platform utilization, and accuracySupervise and mentor the accounts payable team (currently one direct report), including training, mentoring, performance management, and hiring where necessaryReconciliation of AP, accrued liabilities, prepaid expenses, and related expense accounts and management of related aging reports, etc.Oversee period close activities and processes as it relates to cash and payables, ensuring accurate financial records including necessary accrualsAssist the team with fluctuation analyses for relevant accounts as part of month-end closeEnsure compliance with requisite regulatory filings, including 1099 reporting, city and state filings, etc.Responsible for Coupa Administration:Serve as the primary Coupa system administrator and internal subject matter expertConfigure and maintain Coupa workflows, approval chains, user roles, permissions, suppliers, and system settingsManage system enhancements, testing, upgrades, and integrations with ERP (NetSuite) and other systemsTroubleshoot user issues and provide training and support to employees and stakeholders as necessarySupport various audits, including financial statement and controls audits, as necessaryWhat You'll BringAt least 7 years of progressive experience in AP and cash management, including 3 years in a leadership roleHands-on experience using Coupa, including direct experience serving as a Coupa AdministratorExperience managing cash flow, banking relationships, and payment operationsExperience leading system implementations, upgrades, or process transformation initiativesStrong grasp of accounting principles, best practices and compliance requirementsProficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsExcellent analytical skills and attention to detail for identifying and addressing financial discrepanciesExperience with international entities is a plusOur recruiters will always reach out using an email address ending with @mountain.com OR @mntn.com.
