Job Overview A law firm seeks a 3rd-4th year Litigation Associate in New York City. This role is ideal for a confident, driven litigator with a keen interest in media law. The associate will engage with cutting‑edge copyright, trademark, First Amendment, and newsgathering litigation, as well as commercial disputes. Duties Support litigation matters from inception through resolution. Participate in pre‑publication legal issue identification and risk mitigation. Handle federal and state court proceedings and arbitrations. Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and submissions. Manage discovery, including strategy, document review, and depositions. Participate in oral arguments and court appearances. Collaborate with partners and clients on case strategy. Manage multiple fast‑moving matters. Requirements Detail‑oriented litigator with strong research and writing skills. Proactive in managing workflows and seeing matters through. Collaborative and contributes to a positive team culture. Thrives in fast‑paced, high‑stakes environments. Engaged in culture, media, and the arts with interest in creative industries. Clerkship experience is a plus. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
