Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nurse Specialty: Oncology Clinic Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:30 - 16:00) Experience: 2 years of Oncology nursing experience required License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS and OCN preferred Must-Have: - Epic documentation system experience required - Experience with accessing/managing ports - Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and protocols Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for an Oncology Clinic specializing in Hematology & Leukemia. The nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric patients. Daily patient census varies from 50 to 75. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, laboratory, and social services. Responsibilities include assessment and management of infection and other complications. The nurse will assist with procedures and coordinate patient care plans. Education and support for patients and families will be integral to the role. Candidates should have experience with blood product administration and managing side effects of treatment. Strong communication skills and the ability to recognize and respond to abnormal lab values are essential. The role may require floating within the department as needed.
