This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in medical recordkeeping while supporting coordination between nursing, clinical, and administrative departments to meet the needs of residents.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and organize medical records, filing systems, and office proceduresPrepare correspondence and ensure documentation accuracy and completenessConduct medical records audits and support program compliance effortsCollaborate with site leadership and regulatory monitors to ensure licensure and contractual complianceAnalyze reports, summarize data, and identify trends related to medical recordsManage appointment scheduling and maintain calendarsMonitor and maintain office supply inventory as directedAssist with facility operations including resident transports, admissions, discharges, leave of absences, and deliveriesParticipate in required training and professional development activitiesPerform additional duties as assignedQualificationsEducation:High School Diploma or GED requiredExperience:Minimum of 2–3 years of medical records experience requiredExperience in healthcare, behavioral health, or residential settings preferredSkills:Strong organizational, planning, and time management skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and data entryExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality and attention to detailAbility to build effective working relationships with staff and stakeholdersAdditional Requirements:Valid state driver's license requiredAbility to pass background screening and pre-employment requirementsFlexibility to work varied hours as neededPhysical RequirementsFrequent standing, walking, pushing, and pullingAbility to lift up to 50 poundsOccasional bending, crouching, or climbingSustained attention to detail and ability to focus on tasks for extended periodsEffective verbal and written communication skillsYouth Opportunity Investments is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
