LPN Department: PCU Stoke UnitLocation: Trinity Health Ann ArborPosition Purpose: The 10E progressive care unit: Medical progressive care unit specializing in the care of diagnoses including: renal, stroke, seizure with continuous EEG monitoringShifts Available: Night Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Status Available: Full time, Part time Every Other Weekend and Every other Holiday per year required for Full-time and Part-Time team members.Required Qualifications:Inpatient experience required or be enrolled in an LPN to RN program).Education:Requires a high school diplomaCertification/Licensure:Requires current and active license to practice as LPN in State of Michigan.Must have current or obtain during orientation and maintain Basic Life Support Certification (BLS).Total Rewards and Benefits:· Competitive compensation, DAILYPAY· Benefits effective Day One! Reports changes in patient condition, feedback, and follow-up to the RN in a timely manner.Obtains necessary clinical data from patient, family, or significant other.Demonstrates competency in the administration of medications. Informs and provides information to patients about planned procedures and treatments in order to reduce fear and anxieties and to encourage patient participation.Performs activities which may be delegated by the RN and/or Physician, including but not limited to:Venipuncture for specimens including blood cultures.Initiates and discontinues intravenous, i.e., peripheral short catheters.Inserts and discontinues indwelling and intermittent clean urinary catheterization.Our CommitmentRooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
