Project Accountant I

Overview We are currently seeking a Project Accountant for our Southeast Water Division. This position will be located at one of our jobsites in Atlanta, GA, Chattanooga, TN or Tampa, FL. The Project Accountant manages the day-to-day project accounting on 5-15 projects at a time. Assist operations to compile and process Monthly Owner Billings. Review Subcontractor and Vendor Compliance. Collects and reviews project subcontractor/supplier lien waivers. Collects, reviews, and processes subcontractor/supplier monthly project invoices. Needs to ensure all invoices have been accrued properly and timely to the correct cost reports and phase codes. Ensures proper payments to all subcontractors and major suppliers. Processes cost transfers on project cost report for Project Management staff. Provides monthly assistance to Project Management staff in the preparation of monthly billings to project owners. Communicates with the project staff on tracking when the projects are paid. Handles all client and subcontractor communications in a professional and expedient manner. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or business-related field. No construction accounting experience required.
