Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled CVOR RN to join the cardiovascular surgery team at a leading hospital in Asheville, NC. This travel position offers an opportunity to work in a high-acuity environment with advanced equipment and a supportive team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to cardiovascular surgery patients in the CVOR unit.
• Prepare and operate advanced monitoring and surgical equipment, including GE Carescape and Fuji ultrasound systems.
• Assist with preoperative procedures such as large-bore IV starts, hair removal, and skin assessments.
• Support intraoperative processes including patient positioning, induction, intubation, and assisting with arterial, central, and epidural line placements.
• Transport patients to the OR and facilitate perioperative care according to hospital policies.
• Document patient interventions accurately and promptly in Cerner system.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with minimum two years of recent critical care experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience with BCMA preferred.
• Ability to effectively collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
