Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Oncology position requiring a Montana or compact RN license and at least one year of specialty experience.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Oncology unit of a hospital environment
• Variable 12-hour shifts covering both day and night rotations
• 36 hours per week across 3 days per week
• Schedule requires flexibility to accommodate team needs
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Active RN license in Montana or compact license required
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required and must not expire prior to start
• ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification required as appropriate for the unit or service
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Oncology required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
• No pending license accepted for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties per Board of Nursing standards
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for oncology patients
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic treatment supportive to patient well-being
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as needed
• Monitor and review therapy and treatment plans
• Permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before becoming eligible for this travel assignment
• Background check and drug screen results require at least 2 weeks processing time through a designated vendor, and travelers should report for drug screening within 24 hours of commitment
