With a strong commitment to excellence and community care, One Cross Community Health is expanding to better serve the growing needs of our patients. We are seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist – Back Office to join our team at our Campbellsville location.

Position Overview

The Medical Receptionist – Back Office plays an important role in supporting the patient experience and daily clinic operations. This position is primarily responsible for answering and directing incoming calls, assisting patients with check-out, scheduling follow-up appointments, and completing administrative tasks to ensure patients receive efficient and professional service.

The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical environment.

Schedule

• Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
• No weekends
• 4-day work week (4x10-hour shifts)

Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Services & Check-Out

• Assist patients with the check-out process following their appointments
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with other scheduling needs
• Provide patients with accurate information regarding appointments and clinic services
• Collect and verify patient information as needed
• Maintain a professional, friendly, and patient-centered approach
• Direct patients to the appropriate staff members or departments

Telephone & Communication

• Answer, screen, and appropriately route incoming telephone calls
• Take accurate messages and communicate information to the appropriate staff
• Assist patients with questions and general requests by phone
• Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times

Administrative Duties

• Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
• Perform data entry and maintain accurate patient records
• Assist with filing, faxing, copying, scanning, and other clerical duties
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence as assigned
• Maintain organized work areas and patient information
• Assist clinical and administrative staff with general office needs

Operations & Compliance

• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements
• Follow all clinic policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations
• Maintain a safe, secure, and professional work environment
• Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and professionalism
• Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative team members

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, Patient Services Representative, Front Office Representative, or similar position preferred
• Previous healthcare or medical office experience preferred
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Professional and courteous telephone manner
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour

Additional Requirements

• Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Campbellsville, KY 42718 prior to the start date
• Ability to work the scheduled 4-day, 10-hour workweek
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information appropriately
