Intake Counselor

Location: Chesapeake, VA. Indian Creek Correctional Center is a level 2 medium security prison. This facility provides specialized treatment services to individuals with substance use disorder. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm OR 7:45 am - 4:45 pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. Discounts on wide array of services/entertainment nationwide The Intake Counselor is responsible for: Conducting comprehensive assessments and individual treatment plans within established time frames and with input from the client and multi-disciplinary team. Meeting with participant's primary Counselor to review intake and initial treatment plan information within designated time frame. Correcting all documentation deficiencies in established time frames as directed by the Clinical Supervisor. Assisting the Clinical Supervisors with weekly chart audits and discharge planning. File room upkeep and maintaining clinical records in accordance with all regulatory, contractual, and Spectrum standards. Addressing program participant issues, concerns, and inappropriate behaviors promptly and in accordance with Spectrum's clinical design. Qualifications: No formal certification required. Minimum of HS Diploma/GED. Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in administrative and records management is a plus. Experience working within a correctional or secure environment is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
