Assistant Athletic Trainer
The University of Tampa's Athletic Department has a position available for an Assistant Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training services. This position reports to the head athletic trainer.
Responsibilities include evaluating, treating, and providing rehabilitation of athletic injuries; reviewing and documenting injuries; providing referrals for appropriate medical care; providing athletic training services on the field or court, at practices and events; managing insurance and other documentation necessary for proper medical care; and contributing to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred; one year of NATABOC certified experience required; experience supervising and teaching student athletic trainers preferred; Florida licensed or eligible; good oral, interpersonal and organizational skills needed as well as the ability to establish priorities and manage time wisely; ability to travel and work evenings, weekends and some holidays; ability to forge a working relationship with college level athletics and coaches; knowledge of or the ability to learn quickly The University of Tampa software programs such as Workday, Microsoft Office, and electronic medical records; and willingness to embrace new technologies and innovative organizational practices.

This is a 10-month position.
