We offer an attractive salary package, including a generous benefits package with health, dental, and life insurance, 401(k) plan, paid time off, sick leave, holidays, and wellness plan./ph3Job Function / Purpose/h3pThe Operator is responsible for operation and maintenance of equipment in water or wastewater treatment facilities./ppD water or wastewater license minimum required/ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliOperates a variety of equipment/machinery including: valves, pumps, motors, belt presses, disinfection equipment, vehicles, etc./liliConducts routine testing, monitoring and maintenance of production wells, water/wastewater unit processes and basic laboratory analyses./liliPerforms and documents treatment process and maintenance of treatment facility equipment./liliDocuments plant performance including daily flow, electrical and chemical usage and dosage./liliResponds to call outs and after-hours emergencies to repair treatment equipment, pumps, motors, sensing devices, instrumentation and electrical support./liliEnsures facilities are clean, neat and secure./liliProvides customer service functions when necessary./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpWilling to work all shifts, including: weekends, holidays, evening and 24-hour emergency on call./ph3Qualifications/h3ulliDisplay a willingness, aptitude and self-discipline to study the required material and meet all prerequisites to obtain water or wastewater certification./liliKnowledge of process control techniques, maintenance procedures and safe practices./liliThe ability to successfully perform routine on-site maintenance and emergency repairs of treatment equipment is essential./liliKnowledge of regulatory rules is essential./liliPrevious water or wastewater treatment experience is desirable./liliCompletion of water or wastewater correspondence courses is very desirable./liliWilling to work all shifts including: weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on call./li/ulh3Education, Experience and Skills/h3pEducation/Experience : High School Diploma or GED./ppLicenses/Certifications : Valid Drivers License (CDL preferred). Water/Wastewater Operators License specific to state and site-specific requirements. Other licenses may vary according to specific site and assignments./ppTechnical : Ability to follow manual operating instructions. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications internet. Basic knowledge of water/wastewater operations./ppCommunication : Communicates clearly professionally. Contributes to a positive internal external customer experience. Willing to help others.
