Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Location: Reno, NV

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shift: 3x12, Days

Job Description: The Registered Nurse in this role provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care and provides comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients across the lifespan.
• Demonstrate cognitive and psychosocial needs specific to the population served.
• Coordinate care between other professionals as necessary.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Utilize scientific knowledge and engage in ongoing growth and learning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• 2+ years Med Surg/Tele experience required.
• Prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment is required.
• NV RN license is required prior to start.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS is mandatory.
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam, including identifying and measuring telemetry rhythm strips.
