Insurance Specialist

The primary responsibility of the Insurance Specialist is to accurately underwrite Personal Lines risks while serving as a first line of support to representatives on complex matters.

• Accurately and effectively underwrite all types of Personal Lines business in all states.
• Provide support to internal customers regarding complex matters and escalated customer inquiries.
• Support the department through participation in meetings, projects, and initiatives as assigned.

Hours: 9:45 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Tuesday to Friday, Saturday 8:30-4:45 p.m. (During the first 4-5 months of training, hours will be Monday through Friday 8:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.).

Knowledge, skills & abilities, experience, minimum & desired education, certification and/or license requirements.

• Bachelor's Degree (or pursuing a degree) in Risk Management and Insurance or 18 months experience as an NJM Licensed Account Representative
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High level of attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Sound judgment and decision-making abilities
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective conflict resolution
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Experience providing high quality customer service in a professional setting

Completion of general insurance courses such as AINS, AIS, API, or CPCU, are a plus

Property & Casualty Insurance License or Personal Lines Authority (The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Property & Casualty Insurance License as a condition of employment)

Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials.

Pay Range: $61,256-$71,190
