Job Description

This role involves fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components used in the production of seating systems and related products. You will interpret blueprints, perform MIG welding, and operate welding equipment safely while maintaining high quality standards and meeting production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal components for seating systems and related products according to specifications and production requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine material requirements, measurements, and welding techniques.
• Perform MIG welding on a variety of metal parts, ensuring strong, clean, and accurate welds.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and related tools in a safe and efficient manner.
• Fit, align, and position components prior to welding to ensure proper fit and structural integrity.
• Use grinding and finishing tools to clean, smooth, and prepare welded parts for further processing or final assembly.
• Inspect welds and finished components to ensure they meet quality, safety, and production standards.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with MIG welding and basic understanding of welding fundamentals.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment with production goals and standards.
• Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to perform fitting and grinding tasks as part of the fabrication and welding process.
• Reliable and positive attendance history.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience fabricating and assembling metal components for production environments.
• Familiarity with production processes and workflow in a medium-sized manufacturing facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Altamont, IL.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
