RN Float Pool

The Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool for night shifts provides skilled nursing care across multiple acute care units including Medical Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit, Intermediate Care Unit, and Emergency Department. The RN is responsible for patient assessments, medication administration, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced hospital environment. This role requires flexibility, acute care experience, and adherence to safety and clinical protocols. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in various acute care settings including MCU, PSU, IMCU, APU, ED, and ICU.
• Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and implement treatment plans.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Maintain compliance with workplace violence prevention training and hospital policies.
• Lift and assist patients as needed, up to 50 lbs, ensuring patient and personal safety.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC as applicable.

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Oregon.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification current within the past 5 years.
• Recent acute care hospital experience, less than 1 year acceptable.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.
• Completion of organization-approved workplace violence training within required timeframe.

• Critical Care or Emergency Department experience.
• Advanced certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).

• Night shift work with potential exposure to high-acuity patients.
• Must complete workplace violence training within 90 days of hire.
• Flexibility to float among various hospital units.
