You will support daily service, guide team members, maintain operational excellence, and ensure every guest receives outstanding hospitality.In the absence of management, you will oversee shift operations, make staffing adjustments as needed, and help ensure smooth execution from opening through close.Key ResponsibilitiesCraft Exceptional BeveragesPrepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standardsEnsure responsible alcohol service and compliance with all TABC regulationsMaintain extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, beers, and specialty cocktailsLead the TeamDirect and support bartenders and bar staff throughout each shiftDelegate responsibilities and help manage staffing needs when necessaryServe as a resource for associates and assist in resolving operational challengesDeliver Outstanding Guest ExperiencesProvide attentive, professional, and personalized serviceCreate a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visitsRecommend menu items and beverage pairings to enhance the guest experienceMaintain Operational ExcellenceMonitor inventory levels and maintain proper stockComplete liquor requisitions and uphold established par levelsEnsure the bar remains organized, clean, and presentation-readyTrain and Develop AssociatesProvide coaching, training, and mentorship to team membersReinforce service standards and operational proceduresFoster teamwork and support a culture of continuous improvementEnsure Safety and SanitationFollow all health, safety, and sanitation standardsMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentSupport compliance with company policies and regulatory requirementsQualificationsExperiencePrevious bartending experience requiredLeadership or supervisory experience preferredResort, hospitality, restaurant, or high-volume upscale bar experience preferredCertificationsValid TABC Certificate requiredValid Food Handler's Certificate requiredSkillsStrong leadership and communication abilitiesExcellent guest service and problem-solving skillsAbility to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and spiritsRequirementsMust be at least 18 years of age; 21+ preferredAbility to stand for extended periods and lift supplies as neededMust maintain professional appearance and uniform standards, including slip-resistant footwearWhy Join Horseshoe Bay Resort?At Horseshoe Bay Resort, we believe our associates are the foundation of our success.
