Teller

We are looking for a Teller at our Helena, MT Capital branch. The role handles daily teller transactions, delivers outstanding client service, and identifies opportunities for cross‑sell and referral. Key Responsibilities Process deposits and loan payments, cash checks, savings withdrawals, and manage night and mail deposits. Sell cashier’s checks and redeem savings bonds. Answer client questions in person and over the phone. Process additional transactions such as currency reports. Identify cross‑sell/referral opportunities, inform clients of new services and products, determine client needs and direct clients to a banker. Record activities, incidents, and referrals in 360View. Process consumer credit card applications. Close accounts, order checks, exchange foreign currency, provide statements or copies, and perform safe‑deposit box procedures. Reconcile cash drawer: verify transactions, count and package currency and coin, submit excess and mutilated currency to the vault custodian, and maintain cash supplies. Participate in dual‑control functions, maintain client traffic surveys, audit teller currency, and assist in certification of proof. Maintain confidentiality of client information. Attend training sessions and support team members to achieve results. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Experience in a cash handling role preferred. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong mathematical aptitude. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Exceptional attention to detail. High proficiency with client‑facing systems and basic product knowledge. Physical Demands & Work Environment Dexterity to operate keyboard and mouse, frequent handling, frequent hearing, frequent lifting up to 25 lbs, occasional standing/sitting, frequent walking, occasional moderate noise. Typical work hours vary based on scheduling and business need; travel as needed. Compensation & Benefits Base salary and benefits: The pay range is $XX.XX to $XX.XX per hour (CO & WA).
