Men Moving Mountains LLC is hiring dependable, hardworking moving laborers to assist with residential and commercial moves throughout Boone and the surrounding High Country.

Moving laborers are responsible for safely packing, protecting, loading, transporting, and unloading customers’ household goods. Daily responsibilities may include packing boxes, wrapping furniture, carrying heavy items, navigating stairs, loading moving trucks, and assembling or disassembling furniture.

This is a physically demanding, customer-facing position. Applicants must be comfortable working variable hours and contributing as part of a professional moving crew.

Responsibilities

• Safely lift, carry, load, and unload furniture and boxes weighing 80 pounds or more
• Pack boxes and thoroughly wrap furniture to prevent damage
• Load moving trucks in an organized, secure, and space-efficient manner
• Disassemble and reassemble beds, tables, desks, and other furniture using company-provided tools
• Protect customers’ homes by using floor runners, door-jamb protectors, pads, and other moving equipment
• Navigate stairs, narrow hallways, uneven surfaces, and other job-site conditions
• Follow directions from the crew leader and communicate effectively with coworkers
• Use sound judgment and immediately speak up when a task could cause an injury or damage
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and follow the company dress code
• Communicate respectfully and professionally with customers, crew leads, and management
• Keep trucks, equipment, and job sites clean and organized
• Arrive on time
• Follow all company safety, conduct, phone-use, smoking, drug, alcohol, and weapons policies
