This full-time, onsite opportunity supports a school-based team of dedicated professionals committed to providing specialized instruction and advocacy for students with visual impairments. Immediate openings are available through the end of May 2027, in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) with valid credentials
• Experience working with school-aged children who have vision loss preferred
• Strong understanding of braille, assistive technology, and orientation and mobility concepts
• Exceptional communication skills and collaborative mindset
• Adaptability and flexibility, as assignments may include floating between sites with varying caseloads
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, accessible learning environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments across school locations
• Assess students’ needs and develop individualized instructional strategies
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure student access and progress
• Provide training and resources related to assistive technology and accessible materials
• Monitor student progress and participate in IEP meetings, maintaining comprehensive documentation
• Consult with educational staff to adapt curricula and physical environments for accessibility
