Senior Human Resources SpecialistZantech is looking for a talented Senior Human Resources Specialist to contribute to the success of our upcoming Human Resources Management project for a Hybrid role based out of downtown Washington DC. The Senior Human Resources Specialist will play a crucial role in providing:Supplementation of HRM staff with HRM Specialist-related support, including Personnel Staffing for SES and political appointee programsReviewing pre-employment requirements and related staffing supportProviding Records Management / Retention: SES applicant records, vacancy files, and trackingThe Senior Human Resources Specialist provides comprehensive HR operational and administrative support for CBP's SES and political appointee staffing programs within the Executive Services Division. This individual must have significant experience in federal HR staffing and recruitment, particularly related to SES pre-employment requirements, and must be capable of executing plans with minimal supervision.Responsibilities include, but will not be limited to:Record and file application materials for SES applicantsMaintain vacancy announcement and applicant files for accountability, integrity, and records administrationProcess incoming SES applicant packages; track receipts and maintain filesProvide application status updates as requested by the GovernmentCompile and prepare application reports and documents pertaining to applicant statusMaintain records and files of work and revisionsSupport the Executive Services Staff with SES pre-employment requirementsPrepare and submit Monthly Status Reports and Monthly Verification Reports to the COR by the 10th calendar day of each monthSubmit invoices electronically via IPP by the 10th business day of each month for prior month servicesMaintain and support the Quality Control / Assurance Plan throughout the period of performanceSupport transition in / transition out activities including transfer of documentation, GFE, and keys/fobs/PIV cardsIdentify themselves as a Contractor in all communications, meetings, and correspondenceComplete and comply with all required NDAs, security awareness, and privacy trainingRequired Experience or Knowledge of the following technologies/functions:8 years of relevant experience within the area of assignmentComprehensive knowledge of SES staffing and recruitment and the OPM QRB review processIn-depth knowledge of federal HR personnel staffing, recruitment, and management/disposition/retention policiesPrior experience working with SES selectees on pre-employment requirementsOutstanding written and oral communication skillsProven administrative skills relevant to HR operations, including alpha/numeric filingProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe ProAbility to create and execute plans with minimal supervisionAbility to multi-task and meet deadlines while responding to employee inquiriesStrong interpersonal skills; ability to deal with conflicts and diverse stakeholdersFluency with standard office equipmentRequired Education/Certifications:Bachelors DegreeOR 8 years of relevant experience within the area of assignment in lieu of Bachelor's DegreeRequired Security Clearance:US Citizenship requiredMust be able to satisfactorily complete a Single-Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) prior to reporting to workOutstanding Performance…Always!Our corporate motto represents our commitment to build long-term relationships with both our clients and our employees by providing the highest quality service in everything we do.
