General Production Worker - 2nd/3rd Shift

Join a global leader in sterilization solutions at our Lewis Center facility where we produce packaging systems for labware, test kits, vials, and surgical kits for the medical field. You will be reporting directly to a shift/process supervisor and will coordinate all activities on the conveyor, ensuring efficient operation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all activities on the conveyor by organizing work orders at load and unload stations.
• Load and unload products, complete required paperwork, and assist the Shift Supervisor/Process Supervisor in the safe operation of the system.
• Operate the plant in the absence of the Shift Supervisor and/or Process Supervisor.
• Prepare dosimeters for work orders scheduled to be run.
• Operate and take readings on the dosimeter reader.
• Assemble processed dosimeters with run data sheet, work orders, and load/unload sheets.
• Maintain accurate downtime and system configuration log.
• Record input, dosimeter, and unload information in the computer.
• Perform emergency procedures as required by license.
• Report system problems to the Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Technician.
• Replace designated mechanical components of the system and assist Maintenance as required.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

Essential Skills

• 1 to 3 years of experience as a general production worker within manufacturing.
• Ability to lift 20-30 pounds consistently.
• Comfortable with reading/writing English for documentation purposes.
• Experience with forklift operation, inspection, and packing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience operating a Toyota sit-down forklift.
• Experience working as a production associate in a medical supplies manufacturing facility.
• Experience operating industrial machinery.

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate controlled facility with heating/cooling units throughout the floor. Standard work attire includes safety glasses and steel toe shoes, with certain clothing provided for employees such as branded hoodies and t-shirts. Join a smaller staff of 30 total employees in a family-oriented environment. Operate on 2 conveyor systems, loading and unloading totes onto pallets during the third shift from 12AM-12PM, Thursday-Saturday, and every other Wednesday. Employees will work 36 hours one week and 48 hours the following week, with options to pick up additional overtime.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewis Center, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
