Location: Dearborn, Michigan Job Title: HVAC Service Technician, I Responsible for following and assisting with refrigeration system repairs, installation, and maintenance. Also responsible for customer interaction and communication with the field supervisor and the administrative staff. Main Responsibilities Assist with the coordination of refrigeration system repairs, installation, maintenance, and updates. Assist the HVAC Manufacturing Business Unit engineers and Sales departments as required. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work. Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure all refrigeration needs are met. Must have a basic understanding of industrial refrigeration systems, electrical controls, and be proficient in AC/DC, wiring, calibration, and pneumatics. Assist with AC/DC, electrical troubleshooting, pneumatics, wiring, calibration, cooling, and electrical controls. Proven knowledge of refrigeration systems and their components. Assist in troubleshooting complex refrigeration issues. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with Company Policies and Safety Standards. Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment. All other related duties as assigned. Possess mental faculties consistent with performing the minimum requirements of the job. Qualifications HVAC Certification or License preferred. Minimum of 2 years of technical service experience. High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong customer orientation. Ability to learn about new products and features. Ability to work well in a team. High attention to detail for customer satisfaction. Keep up with new techniques and technologies in the field. Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and computer‑based file structures. Ability to use a computer. Physical Requirements This position is located in a testing environment and will involve hands‑on work. Physical activity will include lifting (up to 50lb), bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, hand‑eye coordination, manual dexterity or standing for long periods. Ability to speak verbally, and read in English. Ability to see with corrective lenses. Ability to hear. Ability to walk. Ability to travel up to 60% domestically. Able to work overtime, evenings and/or weekends as required. Hazards Normal hazards related to working in an office environment, manufacturing, and testing environment.
