The Valley Health Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated, full-time Licensed Mindfulness-Based Mental Health Therapist to enhance our outpatient services in Henderson, Nevada. Work Environment\nThis position will allow you to work remotely, enabling flexibility in your schedule while still being an integral part of our outpatient office team. You will primarily engage in therapy sessions via telehealth platforms, thus ensuring a comfortable and accessible environment for clients. The work setting supports collaboration with fellow therapists and healthcare professionals, promoting interdisciplinary approaches to mental health care.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Deliver mindfulness-based therapeutic interventions, including Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), tailored to each client's unique needs for stress reduction and emotional well-being. \n
- Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to identify patients' specific stressors, challenges, and therapeutic goals, and develop personalized mindfulness practices accordingly. \n
- Lead individuals through guided mindfulness exercises, meditation, and breathing techniques that promote self-awareness, emotional regulation, and resilience. \n
- Facilitate engaging group workshops on mindfulness strategies, stress management, and resilience-building that empower clients to integrate mindfulness into their daily lives. \n
- Continue to incorporate mindfulness-based techniques into individual therapy sessions, addressing clients' specific mental health issues and fostering ongoing personal development. \n
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate mindfulness practices into a holistic treatment approach, enhancing overall client outcomes. \n
- Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and the effectiveness of mindfulness interventions to inform ongoing care and adjustments. \n
- Commit to your own mindfulness practice, engage in regular self-reflection, and pursue professional development opportunities to expand your expertise in mindfulness-based techniques. \n
In this role, you will work primarily with adults and adolescents facing a range of mental health difficulties, including anxiety, depression, and stress-related disorders. Our clients are individuals seeking not just to address their challenges but to foster a deeper understanding of themselves through mindfulness and resilience-building strategies. Your approach will help them to gain insight and develop skills that are transferable to various aspects of their lives.
Qualifications\n- \n
- Possession of a Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Nevada. \n
- Strong foundation in therapeutic practices with a demonstrated ability to apply mindfulness techniques effectively. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering a calming and supportive therapeutic environment conducive to client engagement. \n

- Experience in providing mindfulness-based therapy, particularly with a focus on Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), is strongly preferred. \n
- Previous experience in outpatient settings demonstrating versatility in therapeutic approaches to diverse client populations. \n
- Ongoing professional development in mindfulness practices or trauma-informed care will be considered an asset. \n
Valley Health Health & Rehabilitation Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a robust benefits package that includes:
