This position will involve working on a variety of tankers and commercial derivative aircraft. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize mechanical systems expertise to make an immediate and long-lasting impact on USAF's large aircraft fleets.Position Responsibilities:Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environmentSupports the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customersPerforms detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installationsPerforms spatial integration at system or component level and modification of mechanisms/landing gear/ordinance systemsAssists in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systemsAssists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development effortsWorks under general supervisionOur teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Associate and Mid-Level Mechanical Systems Design and Analysis Engineers.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experienceExperience with troubleshooting aircraft systemsExperience with aircraft modificationsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experiencePrevious experience working with aircraft fuel systemsMaster’s degreeConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Drug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
