Maintenance TechnicianAt CWS, the Maintenance Technician's primary responsibility is to enhance the integrity of the community, while maintaining exceptional customer service. This role is essential in keeping our community operating smoothly and according to safety standards. Expect a great amount of interaction with customers, residents and guests, therefore maintaining a high level of customer service is imperative to the success of this position.Prepare make-ready apartmentsComplete service requestsPerform common area maintenanceMaintain inventory and shop organizationParticipate in preventative maintenance programParticipate in resident satisfaction programsCommunicate with customers, residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and CWS team membersParticipate in the CWS Risk Management and Safety ProgramsWhat You Bring To UsHigh school diploma or GED (preferred)Minimum 1 year previous experience in apartment maintenance or a trade that requires basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting and HVAC (preferred)Applicable certifications including but not limited to EPA, HVAC I & II, and CPO (required)Possess a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance (required)Own basic set of hand tools (required)Able to read service requests, schedules, and regularly converse with team members, residents, and vendors in EnglishBasic computer skillsAble to adhere to set and variable work schedules, including weekends and emergencies as requiredAble to adhere to company policies, procedures, and practicesAble to establish and maintain effective working relationshipsAble to maintain a professional and ethical atmosphereAble to perform work responsibilities at locations other than "home" propertyAble to travel within major metropolitan areas and may be required to attend company functions in other citiesAble to respond to emergency calls outside of normal business hoursWhat We OfferAt CWS, our employees are like family. Position regularly involves exposure to varying temperatures, noise, dust, fumes, chemicals, power tools, and moving mechanical equipment.Physical Requirements:Requires frequent physical activity including walking, standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and working in confined or elevated spaces. Regularly lifts, carries, pushes, or pulls tools, appliances, equipment, and supplies up to 50 pounds.
