Lead Data Engineer

To support the evolution of data analytics and artificial intelligence, the full-time Lead Data Engineer will design and implement a modern AWS and Databricks Lakehouse platform, partnering with IT and business teams to drive data-driven decisions in a remote capacity, preferably from the Chicago area. Key responsibilities Design and lead enterprise-grade data pipelines for batch and streaming processing Own the full ETL/ELT lifecycle, ensuring data reliability and performance Mentor a small team while driving data engineering standards and best practices Required qualifications 10+ years of IT experience with deep expertise in data engineering and ETL 4-6+ years of hands-on experience in designing and scaling data pipelines Strong experience with Databricks and AWS services Expertise in SQL, Python, and modern data architecture Experience working in an Agile analytics environment with key stakeholders
