Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MedSurg) on the acute care floor located in Freeport, Illinois. This position involves working on a unit that handles post-operative recovery, general medical conditions, and surgical patients. Candidates must bring their Illinois nursing license on the first day. The role requires a minimum of two years of recent post-operative recovery experience, and the position begins on 07/20/2026.

Job Details:

• Location: Freeport, Illinois
• Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor (MS)
• Shift: 12-hour shifts (0700-1930 or 1900-0730). Scheduled on shifts most in need.
• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36 hours
• Required Qualifications: Illinois RN license, BLS Certification, at least 2 years of recent post-operative recovery experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with telemonitoring, teletech, or phlebotomy skills, and familiarity with respiratory equipment such as BiPAP, Vapotherm.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation.
• Additional Information: Holiday rotation. All travelers with previous employment at any facility location must disclose it for a DNU check.
• Float: Float to ICU or Telemetry to handle overflow, patients within scope.
• Shift Notes: D/N rotation with every other weekend, manager creates schedule, on-the-floor training includes two 12-hour orientation shifts.
• Charting System: MEDITECH.
• Experience: No minimum experience required beyond the specified two years of post-operative recovery.
• Submission Requirements: All travelers with previous employment at any facility location must disclose it on their resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check.
