About the Position

Job Title: Electrophysiology Technician Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Electrophysiology Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:00) or 10 hours (07:00 - 17:00) Experience: 2+ years in the Electrophysiology Lab is required License: Must have a valid license Certifications: ACLS, RCES, or RCIS with EP experience, or registry eligible Must-Have: - Experience in invasive electrophysiology procedures, including 3D mapping, EP recording systems, and advanced ablation procedures, including A-Fib - Familiarity with ICE procedures, cardiac rhythm management interrogation, and programming supporting multi-vendor devices - Operation of associated equipment to perform stated tasks - Familiarity with the equipment used in Electrophysiology procedures Description: Chesapeake is located in Coastal Virginia, just minutes away from beautiful outdoor attractions. It offers trails for all levels of hikers and over 20 waterways to explore. Candidates will not be considered if there are any prior license or background hits. Monday through Friday shifts with no call responsibilities. Shifts will be 8-10 hours, determined by department needs. Applicants must have an Associate's degree or higher, Completion of an accredited cardiovascular technology program towards obtaining a Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist registry is required. EPIC experience is needed. Equipment and procedure experience are preferred, specifically with GE or St Jude equipment. The role requires knowledge in various electrophysiology skills, including accurate monitoring, arrhythmia induction, cardiac ablation, and managing equipment. The candidate must be able to perform EKG lead placement, maintain sterile technique, and stock supplies. Candidates will need to successfully pass an EKG interpretation test prior to starting. The test will measure knowledge in rhythm identification and interpretation. This is a critical role that supports the Electrophysiology Team in delivering high-quality care.
