Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, Night, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to patients in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
• Assess, triage, and treat patients with a wide range of conditions including stroke, abdominal pain, and orthopedic injuries
• Collaborate with physicians, midlevels, and a dedicated support team to deliver high-quality care
• Monitor telemetry strips and manage ventilators as needed
• Participate in trauma care for level III trauma patients and above

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in emergency and trauma care
• Strong triage and assessment skills
• Ability to handle high patient volumes (100+ visits per day)
• Comfortable with pediatric patients (500-600 per month)
• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and ventilator management

Requirements

• 3-5 years of recent Emergency Room experience required
• Active RN license in California
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Experience with Cerner (First Net) EMR preferred
• Level III trauma experience or above preferred
