Position Summary

The Financial Analyst supports the organization's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives across the organization. This role provides key decision support to leadership through financial modeling, profitability analysis and performance reporting.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical expertise with healthcare business acumen and the ability to communicate financial insights that drive action.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Prepare financial forecasts, profitability projections, and variance analyses
• Analyze financial and operational trends to support strategic business decisions
• Create financial models and dashboards to evaluate departmental and organizational performance
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses including ROI, NPV, and IRR evaluations for healthcare initiatives

Strategic Decision Support

• Partner with operational, clinical, and executive leadership to support planning initiatives
• Prepare and present financial performance reports and recommendations to management
• Assist in evaluating new programs, operational opportunities, and system-wide initiatives
• Support long-range financial planning and strategic operating plans

Project Support

• Develop tracking and reporting tools to monitor financial performance metrics
• Provide project management support for financial and operational improvement initiatives
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of financial information and reporting

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Operations Management, or related field required

Experience:

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare financial planning, financial analysis, healthcare consulting, or related analytical role

Preferred Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of healthcare finance, acute care operations, and integrated delivery systems
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and presentation tools
• Ability to analyze complex data and translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Strong communication and presentation skills with experience interacting with leadership teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across clinical, operational, and financial departments
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding financial and operational information

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
