Workers Compensation Attorney

Liberty Personnel Services, Inc.

Workers' Compensation Attorney - Fight for Injured Workers Be the advocate who helps people rebuild their lives You became a plaintiff attorney to stand up for injured people. To give them a voice when everything feels stacked against them. Here, you’ll own a litigation-heavy docket of workers’ compensation and personal injury matters, with a strong focus on serious workplace injuries. You’ll drive cases from intake through trial, shaping strategy, telling your client’s story, and pushing for maximum recovery. You’ll live in the details of catastrophic injury work—head and brain trauma, serious spinal and back injuries—and work closely with top medical, vocational, and economic experts to prove the full scope of harm. This is hands‑on, courtroom‑forward plaintiff work with a firm that’s been doing nothing but fighting for injured workers and accident victims across Southern California for decades. If you’ve already cut your teeth on plaintiff litigation and want to do more of it, we want to talk to you. What You'll Work On You’ll handle a focused mix of plaintiff-side workers’ comp and personal injury cases, including serious and catastrophic injuries: Workers’ compensation claims with a focus on workplace injuries Plaintiff personal injury matters Catastrophic injury cases (head and brain trauma, spinal and back injuries) Mediations and administrative hearings Arbitrations and trials in state and/or federal court as required Settlement negotiations with insurers and defense counsel Case budgets, timelines, and docket management Community‑facing practice development and outreach when appropriate You’ll partner closely with medical, vocational, and economic experts and dig into complex medical records and terminology to build compelling damages narratives. Your core challenge: transform medical and legal complexity into clear, persuasive stories that win real money for real people. What You'll Be Doing Managing a full caseload of plaintiff workers’ compensation and personal injury matters, including catastrophic injury claims Conducting client intake and initial case evaluations Developing strategy and timelines tailored to each matter Drafting pleadings, complaints, motions, discovery, settlement demands, and trial briefs Taking and defending depositions, including expert and lay witnesses Preparing clients and witnesses for deposition, hearing, and trial testimony Coordinating with medical, vocational, and economic experts to support liability and damages Negotiating settlements with defense counsel and insurance representatives Advising clients on settlement options and recommending strategy that protects their interests Appearing at mediations, administrative hearings, arbitrations, and trials Managing case budgets, deadlines, and document retention with organized, accurate files and dockets Communicating regularly with clients and providing compassionate, clear counsel about their medical and legal options Collaborating with colleagues, paralegals, and staff while mentoring junior attorneys Participating in practice development and community outreach when appropriate What We're Looking For Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active bar admission in California At least 1 year of litigation experience representing plaintiffs in personal injury and/or workers’ compensation matters Proven trial and deposition experience Familiarity with administrative hearings and mediation advocacy Demonstrated experience handling catastrophic injury cases (head/brain and significant spinal/back injuries) Strong drafting, legal research, and courtroom presentation skills Excellent client counseling, negotiation, and case management abilities Comfort working under deadlines and managing multiple matters simultaneously Ability to work effectively with medical experts and interpret medical records and terminology Professionalism, integrity, and strong interpersonal skills with a team-oriented mindset Comfort with case management software and common office technology Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to courts and medical appointments as needed The Experience That Will Really Get Our Attention You’ve already spent time in the trenches for plaintiffs, handling workers’ comp and personal injury matters where liability, causation, and damages are hotly contested. You’re confident in the courtroom and at the negotiating table, and you’re comfortable owning a file from day one. If you’ve dug deep into catastrophic injury work—reading complex medical files, deposing treating physicians and experts, and building high‑value settlement demands or trial presentations—you’ll stand out here. Why This Opportunity? Impact is built into the work: every case is about helping an injured worker or accident victim stabilize, recover, and move forward. You’ll get true end‑to‑end ownership of your cases while working with an experienced team that knows how to litigate and how to win. The firm offers competitive compensation with performance‑based bonus opportunities, hybrid remote work flexibility, and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, a 401(k) with matching, and paid time off.
