Job Overview

Position: Registered Nurse

Location: Reno, NV

Department: Emergency Services

Available Shifts: Days & Nights - Per Diem

Compensation: Up to $900.00 – $1,020 per shift (base gross); equivalent to $75.00 – $85.00 per hour.

Assignment Duration: 4 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts triage, assessments, and monitors patient conditions
• Creates and executes care plans utilizing the nursing process
• Administers medications and emergency interventions
• Communicates patient conditions to physicians and the care team
• Educates patients and their families regarding care and discharge procedures
• Oversees support staff and coordinates patient care
• Ensures accurate electronic medical record documentation and compliance
• Engages in trauma response and critical care stabilization
• Advocates for patient safety and implements best practices
• Delivers direct patient care in the Emergency Department

Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:

• Possession of a current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
• ACLS certification is mandatory upon hire and must be kept current.
• PALS and/or ENPC certification required upon hire and must be maintained.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation certification required upon hire.
• A minimum of one year of experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; experience in an Emergency Room is essential.
