The successful candidate will work as part of Sodexo's on-site custodial services team and will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for HT students, faculty, staff, and visitors.Working with Sodexo at Huston-Tillotson University is more than a job—it's an opportunity to contribute to the daily campus experience while being part of a professional facilities services team.What You'll DoAs a Custodial Services Worker, you will provide high-quality cleaning and custodial services throughout the Huston-Tillotson University campus. You will help ensure that classrooms, offices, residence areas, common spaces, restrooms, and other campus facilities are clean, orderly, and ready for use.TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIESPerform routine cleaning and custodial services throughout assigned areas of campus, including classrooms, offices, residence halls, common areas, restrooms, hallways, and other University facilities.Complete scheduled cleaning tasks and maintain assigned areas according to Sodexo and University standards.Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and clean floors, surfaces, fixtures, restrooms, and other areas as assigned.Empty trash and recycling and properly dispose of waste according to established procedures.Clean and maintain high-touch surfaces to support a healthy campus environment.Replenish restroom and custodial supplies as needed.Report maintenance, safety, security, or facility concerns to the appropriate supervisor.Safely operate and maintain custodial equipment and use cleaning products in accordance with established safety procedures.Maintain a professional and courteous presence when interacting with students, faculty, staff, visitors, and University personnel.Follow all applicable health, safety, sanitation, and University procedures.Attend scheduled shifts consistently and arrive on time and prepared to work.Perform other custodial and related duties as assigned based on campus needs.QualificationsSuccessful candidates will be reliable, hardworking, team-oriented, and committed to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIESPrevious custodial or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established cleaning procedures.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean, orderly spaces.Professional and respectful communication with students, faculty, staff, visitors, and coworkers.Ability to safely use custodial equipment and cleaning products.Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and perform physical tasks associated with custodial work.Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, or other scheduled periods as campus operations require.Must be dependable and demonstrate consistent attendance.SUPERVISIONThis position reports to the Sodexo Facilities DirectorSALARY RANGE$16.00 per hourBENEFITS AND OPPORTUNITIES MAY INCLUDE:Supportive and team-oriented work environment.Ongoing training and professional development.Opportunities for career growth and advancement within Sodexo.Paid time off and holidays.Medical, dental, and vision benefits.Tuition reimbursement.401(k).Employee discount programs.Other benefits that may be available based on eligibility and work location.POSITION STATUSVarying shifts, days, and hours; open availability preferred.
