Weekend Security Guard/Smoking Attendant Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Weekend Security Guard to join our team at Cape Regency Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Centerville, a skilled nursing facility. You will ensure the safety and security of residents, employees, the facility, and the facility grounds while also assisting residents with smoke breaks. This part-time position offers weekly pay at $18 an hour. 2p-10p shift Sat & Sun. Responsibilities Conduct an inventory of personal belongings on all admissions and safely remove and store any contraband Conduct and document, as a minimum, hourly rounds of the entire facility and its grounds, and immediately report any safety concerns to the supervisor Report/document environmental concerns Be present and assist, if needed, if and when a resident may be struggling to manage emotions Ensure visitors sign in, show identification, and conduct an inventory search Conduct frequent checks with residents deemed as risk, including physically viewing residents’ whereabouts and documentation of where they are, what they are doing, and who, if anyone, they are with Assist staff with room searches May be assigned to a resident on a 1:1 basis for a determined period of time, including direct supervision at all times Assist residents to and from smoke breaks. Ensuring residents maintain a safe smoking environment.
