Position Overview:

The Teletech functions under the direction of the professional nurse. The Teletech is responsible for cardiac monitor observation and reporting of cardiac rhythm changes to the nursing staff for further investigation when indicated. The Teletech will demonstrate knowledge appropriate to the age of the patients served. Demonstration of knowledge will include principles of growth and development and interpretation of information and data to identify the patient's cardiac monitoring needs. Responsible for applying skills and techniques common to the practice of a telemetry technician.

• -Position Status: Full-time
• -Work Schedule: Nights, 7pm-7am 36hrs/wk

Education Qualifications:

• Required: High School graduate or equivalent
• Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant

Certification Qualifications:

• Required: Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification
• Required: Gateway Regional Medical Center will provide basic dysrhythmia training; successful completion of this training is required

Experience Qualifications:

• Previous experience preferred
• New Graduates welcome

Pay Range:

• The pay range for this position is $16.20 - 24.30 per hour.
