Pediatric Hospitalist Physician

Part-time or Full-time Minimum 4 shifts/month

Newborns and Pediatric Patients

Schedule:
7:00 AM 4:00 PM: Newborn nursery coverage

7:00 AM 8:00 PM: Acute pediatric care

7:00 PM 7:30 AM: Overnight coverage for newborns and pediatrics

All shifts require in-house coverage; no call responsibilities

Weekend availability required
Clinical Details:
Newborn care is limited to the nursery; no deliveries or NICU coverage

Pediatric care is acute inpatient only; no ICU coverage

Lumbar punctures required for pediatric floor coverage

Circumcisions are optional

Intermittent resident teaching

In-house ED and PICU support
EMR:

Allscripts and Cerner, with transition to Epic planned
Requirements:
MD/DO

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics

1 2 years of experience after residency
At least 1 year of newborn care or pediatric hospitalist experience
Arizona medical license

AHA BLS and PALS

Arizona DEA

Must be able to perform required procedures

Clean background and no malpractice or license issues
Additional Information:
New hospital opening with coverage expected through Fall 2027

Credentialing timeframe: 3 4 months
