Toddler Lead Teacher

Overview Full-time. Starting at $23.00/hr. based on experience. Start date: 6/1/2026. Responsibilities Create a Christ-centered learning environment for children ages 16-33 months. Provide educational experiences in the classroom which demonstrate an understanding of learning domains, Early Childhood Indicators of Progress and assessments. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of the students in the classroom. Collaborate with the Toddler Grade Level Team in planning lessons and activities throughout the school year. Daily communicate with families on the success, challenges and activities of the day. Meet regularly with parents both informally and formally throughout year to address child needs. Conduct parent teacher conferences twice a year. Follow the directives of the Infant and Toddler Director to maintain high standards in the classroom and provide a quality learning experience for the children. Maintain a safe, clean, organized classroom and assume the responsibility to complete the duties required to maintain an orderly facility. Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience. Attend all required training and staff meetings throughout the year. Attend all school community events throughout the year, even if outside schedule hours. Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is an essential requirement of this position. Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice for teaching children from 6 weeks to 33 months. Maintains licensing compliance. Professional And Spiritual Expectations Educational requirements: CDA, Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education. Experience required: Must meet the licensing guidelines for lead qualification. Physically able to lift at least 40 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors throughout the day. Able to see and hear clearly, stay at children’s level, and actively engage to ensure their safety. Has a heart and mission to reach the next generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Can clearly articulate the Gospel to a young child. Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Exhibits a lifestyle appropriate to a person in public Christian ministry by conducting life with the utmost integrity in all situations.
